Creek Family Photography in Northern Virginia

If there’s an abundance of one thing in Northern Virginia, it’s creeks! There are a surprising amount of creeks, rivers, and small lakes out here around Chantilly, VA and I love exploring new spots.

From the Potomac River to small backyard creeks – photoshoots by the water are beautiful. There are a ton of parks around the area that have these small creeks. This one in particular is a hidden gem right in my neighborhood. This means it’s fairly secluded and does not have heavy foot traffic.

Creeks make a perfect location to have an intimate photoshoot with your family. Lay down a blanket or set up a picnic and just enjoy some time playing with your family.

The one thing to be prepared for in the spring and summer at the creek is bugs… they’re unavoidable. So be sure to wear your bug spray!
